I have always loved vintage phones. You name it, I love it! From all colors and all styles!
I find that you can find your best deal/buy at your local thrift store as well as you local antique shop! Thrift store phones are the less expensive way to go as sometimes the antique store prices can get alittle bit too high.
I started this about ten years ago and it has turned into a passion that I really, really love!
The key when searching for a good solid vintage phone is to "lift it up" and feel the "weight" of the telephone, if it is heavy this most likely was a old phone company telephone. They can be cleaned with just warm water and mild soap. Also, Q-tips help clean them as well. Never use anything harsh as a cleaner as they just don't make phones like this anymore! Also, windex (or) Pledge, either or, is a great way to add a really pretty shine! There are many out there just waiting for a home! These are truely a cherished time-piece and I keep them proudly displayed, from wall phones to desk phones, from push button to rotary.
